Attempt any ten questions. [10x1=10]

14. Define plane table survey and mention its principle.
15. If the staff reading when staff base is at floor and ceiling (inverted) of a room is 1.25m and 1.75m. Find the floor height of room.
16. Write in short about the curvature and refraction error.
17. Write the uses of theodolite.
18. Determine contour interval of map of scale 1:10000.
19. Write the uses of contour map.
20. Explain the principle of stadia method.

Attempt any five questions. [5x4=20]

21. Explain the working operation of plane table survey.
22. Explain temporary adjustment of level.
23. The following staff reading were taken place at common interval of 20m.
If the level was shifted after 3rd and 9th readings:
3.25, 2.25, 1.65, 0.85, 2.25, 1.85, 1.65, 1.95, 2.65, 0.95. 1.90, 3.25
If the R.L. of last station is 100m. Calculate the R.L of each station.
24. Write four geometry of theodolite.
25. Explain factors that effect the selection of contour interval.
26. Derive the formula for horizontal distance and elevation for horizontal sight and vertical staff held.
