E.E. Cummings, an American poet, painter, essayist, author, and a playwright was born on October 14, 1894 in Cambridge, Massachusetts US and died on September 3, 1962 in Madison, New Hampshire US. E.E. Cummings full name is Edward Estlin Cummings. He wrote approximately 2,900 poems, two autobiographical novels, four plays, and several essays.

Edward Estlin Cummings (E.E. Cummings) received his BA in 1915 and his MA in 1916, both from Harvard University. His studies there introduced him to the poetry of avant-grade writers, such as Gertrude Stein and Ezra Pound.
