4. What is the maximum load that can be connected in one light circuit and one power circuit ?

5. Why is it important to have an electric circuit with protective system ?

6. Explain the laws of illumination. Write down the various types of light sources.

7. Explain the protection of electrical installation against overload, short circuit and earth fault condition.

8. Explain the classification process of Electrical Installation for Industrial Building.

9. What are the factors to be considered for the site selection for the outdoor substations ? Explain briefly.

10. Define Earthing ? Explain the methods of Earthing.

11. Estimate the number and wattage of lamps which would be required to illuminate a workshop space 40 x 15 meters by means of lamps mounted 5 meters above the working plane. The average illumination required is about 100 lux., coefficient of utilization = 0.5, luminous efficiency 16 lumens per watt. Assume space height ratio of unity and a candle power depreciation of 20%.
